Hi Zwifters, a couple of questions which will hopefully be a couple of quick fixes -
1/ I seem to take forever to stop. On the flat when I apply my brakes it can take anywhere between 100-200m to stop - even longer on the downhill. I can’t see anything in settings that could help with this.
2/ just lately when I go into the garage, I can’t seem to change my avatar in the glasses area. I’ve just unlocked a new pair but I can’t get it to change to any of them. I have looked at the other areas and everything else can change (helmet, jersey etc) just the glasses seem to be stuck.
Thankyou David for the response. I have been doing a U-Turn, on the flat it still takes a while but on the downhill it pulls me up a lot quicker. I’ll try the pairing next time
Hi @Roslyn_Woods, welcome to the forums!
I’m Fernanda, from Zwift.
I had to jump in and help out with those braking and avatar problems! Check out my idea:
Regarding your issue with the brakes, have you tried adjusting the braking sensitivity in the settings to see if it improves the braking performance?
Regarding the glasses, I took a moment to try to reproduce the issue on my PC but I was able to select any of the glasses from my garage, so in this case, I will kindly ask you to please update the Zwift App to the latest version (1.72) to delete any corrupted files and try once more? If you are still unable to select the glasses, could you please let us know if this happened with a specific pair of glasses or all of the options?
Hi Fernanda, I checked in settings and I don’t have the Break Sensitivity bar so can’t change anything there. I am paired with my bike, everything is paired except the heart rate as I don’t usually use the HR belt.
I can’t change any of the glasses, I can change all other options - jersey, head gear, wheels etc, just not the glasses.
I am on Game version 1.72.0
The braking sensitivity slider will only appear in settings if you have the Zwift Play controllers paired. Are you using those? If not, the only way to stop quickly is to enter the pairing screen and stop pedaling.
I suggest following these instructions to do a clean re-install of the game and see if that fixes the garage issue.
Thanks Paul for the info, I don’t have the controllers. I’ll take a longer look at those instructions later when I’m back on the bike, I think I may just have to live without the glasses. I’m not very techy and I don’t want to lose all my information.
Thankyou for all your help
