The Zwift Workout Maze

Hello ,
As an amateur with little knowledge on how to "train smart " on limited hours free to spend .
I think I need to adress an Issue i have with all these workouts on Zwift .
Its great to see all these training camps , workouts plan etc… dont get me wrong . but they all seem so random , yes I 'm aware of all these zone 2 , zone 3 .. Training and so , but there so many workouts that seem to randlomy target different zones. Frankly I would like to have that Zwift puts a workout playlist for me for my needs . I know there is that beta workout thing , but seems foggy to me. I think Zwift should make things alot easier for noobs , or add a " great an automatic training plan " option with your training prefs .. hours to spend … " or something.

Like with many things to many options creates choice stress , and therefore make it confusing … still not knowing what to do next.
Maybe zwift should create more new training programs aswell..

The workout recommendation system is their solution to this, but it’s a beta feature, not fully baked yet, and it doesn’t ask you about your goals or available time yet. Hopefully it will get fleshed out over time. Its other problem is that it’s not creating a workout for you - it’s recommending a workout from the library, and the library contains both good and bad workouts, some of which are a mess of different zones that I doubt any coach would suggest. If you want a solution right now, my suggestion is to try some of the more mature adaptive training apps that offer a Zwift integration. Xert offers 30 days free, and JOIN.cc offers 30 days free with an affiliate link (here’s one I saw on YouTube: https://join.cc/neroshow). And there’s TrainerRoad as well, though I don’t think they offer a free trial, just a money-back guarantee. So that would get you 60 days of free adaptive training that you could compare to the Zwift Next Up feature.
