Also, in that activity, it looks like the connection to the Jungle has been hidden or deleted.
Was that part used with markup or was it hidden since the photo you showed was taken?
The connection to the jungle was added by me with image editor.
That makes sense. I’m excited to ride this!! Glad Zwift is giving us the chance to ride this “land lost in time” I guess you could say.
That’s what I understand as well. I heard something like scenery for Jarvis was created using math and algorithms, completely different than it is now.
I like that. Also I feel like if there was a second connection to the island, feel it will be better to connect it a little closer to the jungle because there is already a blocked off area on the side of the mountain that we can see:
Or I was thinking this would be a good spot to end a road that goes around the Alpe (continuing the coastal road).
Since it seems we’re getting Jarvis Island, and since it’s a circuit just over the length of the volcano (so easy to do lots of laps), what if we had a lap counter somewhere and lap badges (5, 10, 25 etc.) like the volcano does?
Also, technically if Jarvis Island is the new expansion, on the ToW we are going forward in time then back again even though Zwift said “this year’s tour will take Zwifters on a trip back in time… and into the future with a new expansion.” So TECHNICALLY this is incorrect if you think about it that way. Just a thought.
TOW Stage 5 has 3 routes, long, middle and short. But Jarvis has 1 loop. You can ride it from the Volcano to the right side of Jarvis or the left side.
Maybe another thing as suprise for a third route?
Likely just routes that include Jarvis but go to other parts of Watopia as well.
I know but two times the same direction?
I’m thinking there might be more roads because just like there’s a connection in Makuri to both Neokyo and Yumezi from Urukazi. It looks like there may be two ways to get to/from the island connecting to the volcano.
maybe in the future but nothing like that yet from the look of it
There’s a new route badge called Waisted 8, assuming that’s a figure 8 and given Jarvis is a single loop it would make sense that it utilizes two access points and a stretch of existing road to make a figure 8 loop.
Looking at the new route badges with one being called “Deca Dash” and since it’s Zwift’s 10-year anniversary, it makes me think we’ll get another Pretzel (just not named ____Pretzel) and that they just used the word dash because even though it wouldn’t be fast, it does have a good ring to it because it’s a word that starts with D. Just my thoughts.
Just had a look the new routes on the companion app (all details except route maps are visible) , the “Coast to coast” route looks suspicious to me (elevation gain, distance and order of segments) so I think this route might be the best bet for a second connection from the jungle’s side to Jarvis.
I think Deca Dash is just 10 laps of Jarvis (given distance and elevation gain- might be a nice race route )
That would be fine. I just feel since we’ve got the Uber Pretzel in 2019 we’ve then got Titans Grove, the various passes, the coastal road, The Grade, and soon this new Jarvis Island road with maybe a few extra roads and it would be nice to have one. Another solution is maybe they’ll add it after initial release or maybe I or someone else could send in a route made on Zwiftmap and it could go through the process routes go through from Rebel Route to Event Only Route to Route badge ingame with Route selection like some routes have.
I wonder if the old kom and qom can be reactivated?

EDIT: Actually, I looked them up and they are both ‘cooked’.
Here’s the only one that looked genuine:
