The Big Spin [February 2026]

Epic Kom have 2 segment,CW or CCW,which one has the spin? The CW?

Volcano Circuit - prizes include Makuri Neon shades, Chrome shades, 90s headphones. 10,000 Drops if you already have the prize.

Hilly KOM - prizes include NY Baseball kit.15,000 Drops if you already have the prize.

It’s CCW. The other way would be called Epic KOM Reverse.

Radio Tower gets you helmet and shoes

So it starts March 16th on 1600PM UTC. I wonder when we will see the first complain about late joining and coffee stops in what riders think is a race …

Probably around 1630pm UTC :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

The Epic KOM is CW, CCW is Epic KOM reverse

Not read it myself yet, but Eric’s promised article…

Ah yeah, I wrote that wrong. Meant CW

Good to see what is where. Wondering why this could not be posted at the time the event went live 3 days ago…. @Eric-Schlange-ZI ?

and then again, I’m of the opinion that this info should not have been divulged until maybe there’s only a couple weeks left of the the event.. IOW a Zwift take on gamers’ easter egg hunts.

I put the map of the Mystery Spinners near the top of the Big Spin post (The Zwift Big Spin: Adventure is Calling | Zwift Insider)… that seemed like a pretty solid hint as to their location.

I waited a few days to publish details for two simple reasons:

1: I think a bit of mystery and exploration is fun and good.

2: I needed to experiment and explore the spinners myself, so I could document things accurately. (Based on past experience, I don’t fully trust what Zwift tells me about new features like this until I’ve tested them myself.)

If not posted here, it will be posted elsewhere or shared on any of the numerous private Zwift groups.

I’m sure there are others out there who fire up their bots in the name of testing and can document all this stuff.

All likely true. Serendipity is dying in general

Did Epic KOM to Radio Tower, and lapped Radio Tower a few times to see if I could farm a few drops. Definitely not as efficient as farming drops by u-turns on Stoneway Sprint, but less fiddling with turning.

The Volcano loop might encourage a few to get the 5/10/25 lap XP bonus while getting a BIg Spin every ~4Km lap.

I wonder how many riders have changed their usual habits to target these spinners.

I always struggle to find new “habits” after the Tour de Zwift ends. Deciding to cycle to each of the spinners has given me a target which is good enough to keep me interested for a few more weeks.

I’ve changed mine, no more mindless miles with Coco, instead it’s mindless miles on Stoneway Sprint

I have found a new liking for the Jarvis lap with this event. Never liked it much but now that I have done it a few more times it really isnt that bad. It is a nice short 4min effort up there and than you go down again and get 15k drops every lap.
