Hi Jelle,
Unfortunately each downgrade link is individual to the serial number of your trainer. I had to reach out to Garmin support and after jumping through a number of hoops they eventually sent me a link.
Hi all. Just a quick update. Garmin update me infrequently on a resolution but there still isn’t one. I have done the latest zwift update and tried pairing directly through Bluetooth but the problem persists. Pairing using my phone and the Zwift companion app works perfectly. I’ll continue with this until either Garmin or Zwift can find a fix.
I got similar issue I think. Brand new trainer, updated everything before to pair and I can get the speed on Zwift. I tried also through the phone but it isn’t working.
My Zwift click works, got power, cadence but I’m pedaling without moving on Zwift.
On Tacx app, everything is working but then I can’t use the clicks nor ride on Zwift.
I posted on Garmin forum but didn’t get any answer yet.
If you see power on the HUD but no movement, my first question is do you have a current subscription? That’s a common reason for no movement when Watts are visible. Check here: https://www.zwift.com/billing/membership
The other common reason is having the brakes enabled but that does not apply when you have the Click controls (only Play or Ride controls have brakes).
Final update from me. After trying a Bluetooth dongle that didn’t work I took the plunge and changed the wireless card on my just under 4 Yr old Asus tuf gaming F15 laptop. The stock component was a Mediatek wi-fi 6 mt7921 wireless lan card. Removed this and replaced it with an Intel AX210 NGW Bluetooth 5.3 Tri-Band WiFi 6E card. Installed the necessary drivers and fired up zwift. Set it to pair via bluetooth (not via phone). Everything connected first time and stayed connected for the test 15 minutes. No signal lost message at any point.
I can only think that somewhere there may be a warning about minimum hardware requirements for either Zwift or the Tacx neo 2t in relation to virtual shifting. The original network card worked perfectly until the firmware upgrade on the Tacx for virtual shifting. Just too many Bluetooth signals for it to handle? Who knows. Hope this thread will help others, who experience the same or similar issues, to troubleshoot the cause. It cost me £19 total for the laptop part and I fitted it myself.
What was the dongle that didn’t work out for you? Just curious which chipset is in it
Looks like the change in the Bluetooth card moves you from BT 5.2 to 5.3
Renewing the subscription actually worked for me. I can see the speed, all other datas and I can ride.
Thanks for the many follow-ups!
I’m currently experiencing exactly the same issues and I’m convinced it is related to my latptops BT aswell, as both my phone and my wifes laptop works fine.
Guess I’ll have to look into how to replace laptop parts now….
