Suicidal Riders

I had many instances last night (28th July) of both ghost riders and other users weaving and wobbling all of the road only to disappear and pop up further along the road. What was going on last night and did anyone else experience it?

If you know someone who is suicidal, you can help. Encourage them to call 800-273-8255 (in the US) or 08457 90 90 90 in the UK. You can get advice online at http://www.dbsalliance.org/site/PageServer?pagename=urgent_crisis_suicide_prevention and http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Suicide/Pages/Getting-help.aspx, among other places.

If you think someone is in immediate danger, do not hesitate to call 911 in the US and Canada, or 999 in the UK.

Hi Barry,

This is generally caused by a bad internet connection (or some hiccup in the service); the AI can’t receive info from the server and just swerves. We’ll be addressing this in a future update.

Thanks Mike Blaszczak…whilst the information you provide is useful to those in need, i think you may have taken the subject of the original post a little too literally!!

Perhaps I did, but I think suicide is a serious enough topic that it should be treated – well, seriously. If culture conditions us that “suicidal” is an acceptable synonym for “erratic” or “unpredictable”, we devalue the people and situations who need to use it to describe situations that are far more dire.
