Stopping timer to record precise lap time

Can anyone tell me how to stop the timer when crossing the finish line after one or multiple laps? I have seen a few keyboard hacks, but none for the Zwift controllers. This would also enable a proper cool down without distorting the actual ride time and enable accurate comparisons when riding the same course.

Have you reviewed the options for triggering a split? I don’t know which controllers you are talking about but if it’s Zwift Ride controls you can program one of the buttons to do it in one click.

the only way to stop the timer in Zwift is to end the ride… if you want to compare laps, segments, sprints, etc… just use Strava, it is all built there and much easier to navigate.

Thanks Mike. However, I don’t use Strava. I use Garmin Connect instead. I realise there are third-party methods of timing. When I press stop on my Garmin Edge, it stops immediately to give an accurate record of my performance. I was hoping there might be a simple way of pressing a stop button when I cross the finishing line rather than faffing about with third-party programmes.

Triggering a split will help you mark the finish line in your fit file. I don’t think there’s any other solution that hasn’t been brought up in this topic.
