Solo courses

i would like zwift to setup courses for solo riding, with no group rides allowed on same course, this would be great to see where you really fit in as a rider, it could easily be done by adding or subtracting a short segment to any of the existing courses. this would open up a whole new field of competing what fo you think?

Just ride a TT bike if you want no drafting.

I’m wondering if the idea is the sprint/KOM segments won’t have anyone on them that have a draft benefit? Not sure.

There are plenty of iTT races out there, not sure this idea is going anywhere…

imagine if you could have any course at any time to do a time trial on and comparing yourself to everyone else doing so as an individual. group rides can make one look much better than in reality.

No, not really. While I understand, what would be better is if Strava could differentiate between a time trial effort or group riding (but then you have to sift out any team time trial, right?) The first priority though, would have to be to disqualify any banded ride. Also, any segment/kom where a coffee provision is used.

Example, a zero watts best time using a coffee stop up Yorkshire climb that is well under three minutes for a new PR. It would need to be handled the same way as a climb portal that is at 50-75%.

These concerns would be easier to resolve by using the new power segments feature. Group draft, banding, coffee breaks would have no effect. Of course dodgy trainers would still be able to stack the leader boards but that’s a problem everywhere you look. More power segments in more places with longer durations available like 5 min and 20 min.

Is there a way to look up current leaderboards on the power segments? Of course I think the idea being asked for is comparable, but probably looking for time results, not power results.

There are no plans for that. It is basically a timed workout section.
