So not worth the money.

Ive had nothing but problems with Zwift. At first, I downloaded it on my phone, the cyclist wouldn’t move- not a speed/ cadence sensor issue, I had already checked this. Secondly, it wouldn’t then download on mac. Fair game to them, I put in a support ticket and they replied quickly and it downloaded the next day.

I have just completed my first session tonight on it. Yes, it was good, I enjoyed it but it wouldn’t connect to my Garmin watch for my HR and then to go back and view your rides, you have to go online for it to tell you the very basics such as distance, average watts and time. Thats it. You can download the results… but god knows what software you need to view it because I certainly tried everything available on my mac. Even when I could get it to open, it was just code.

Ive tried blaming my turbo and my Garmin for the earlier problems but now, Ive realised that it has been Zwifts problem every time. It’s just not good enough for the price.

The icing on the cake has definitely been the analysis of previous rides for me. A breakdown of everything for the duration of the ride is what you expect. Not a very basic table hardly telling you anything.

The concept is great but it is just missing so much. I might look into it again in the future when it has developed a little bit more. But for now, I will look elsewhere.

Make sure your Garmin watch is set to broadcast your HR, it is not set by default.

Most people upload there rides to Strava, TrainingPeaks or Garmin Connect to review the data.

These forums could help you understand Zwift better as could the Zwift Riders group on Facebook.

None of the issues you described seem to be a Zwift issue, it seems more like you just need a better understanding of the software.

This could help you get going: http://titaniumgeek.com/zwift-user-manual-unofficial-running-updates

Hi Holly.  Sorry to hear about your issues.  It sounds like you are trying to pair up multiple bluetooth connections.  I believe you can only use one.  Sounds like your phone is using that up and won’t allow HR to work.  You can get a ANT+ dongle for your iphone/Ipad connection.  It allows multiple connections.

To get more about your ride info, you could set your zwift to upload to Strava account if you have one.  It is free to use.

It can automatically upload to strava todays plan triainpeaks etc. without downloading it.

Thank you for your responses. I have tried to connect to strava as well but just cant seem to figure it out. Maybe Im just being really stupid. I will watch the link to the video on how to set it up and see but Im just a bit sick of messing about with it all now.

When you say “wouldn’t move”, did it register a power number at the top left? If not then it was clearly not picking up your sensors. Presumably you’re using a non-smart trainer? If you are using a smart trainer or power meter you need to select power meter rather than speed. Are your sensors bluetooth because iPhone requires bluetooth sensors.

Are you trying to transmit your HR from your Garmin watch? Or view your HR on it? Garmin uses ANT+ for most of these things it again sounds like an ANT+/Bluetooth mismatch.

Zwift provides just the basics through the web interface. You really need to use the likes of Strava to delve further. You can link your Strava account to Zwift by following the process on my.zwift.com. Edit Profile, then Connections and choose Connect under the Strava tab. You can also connect to other analysis sites using this menu.

Not really, it sounds like a configuration issue.

Again you need Strava or other third-party tool for this.
