Why do most of my sessions start with endless searching of my devices?. I start to very much dislike Zwift…slowest piece of software ever…PS: Zwift companion app crashed 2 times while typing this message. I wanted to attach a photo but after 3 min Zwift logo trying to connect to my library I gave up.
Can you post the specs of your Zwift device and the device you use for the ZCA. Also what are the sensors that you are trying to connect to Zwift?

My ZCA also crashes when I want to upload. So I always swap to the phone’s browser to upload.
For pairing as long as you have woken your sensors/trainer up, and your trainer and computer are within 2 m, your devices aren’t dodgy then it should be within 3 seconds.
