Free riding Scotland, the loch flickers between turquoise and dark blue. When there are wider views, the flickering is in patches (e.g., upper half and lower half, or left side/right side flickering independently).
Can you share the specs for the device you are running the game on?
Hi Paul,
It’s an Alienware PC with 16 GB ram, Intel Core i7 2.5 GHz processor, 8GB NVIDIA GeForce GYX 880M graphics card, and 942 GB drive running 64 bit Windows 10
Thanks,
Andy
OK, I don’t know anything about that GPU but in general the safest option for an Nvidia GPU is the driver that comes from Microsoft. There is usually no benefit to running anything newer, but if you’re on the default driver provided by Microsoft, you might consider upgrading it to latest and see if there’s any difference. Usually that does not matter. You could also check Windows Display settings to verify that you have the Zwift app set to use the Nvidia GPU, since in laptops I would expect that to be set to “Let Windows Decide” which GPU to use unless you made a change already. You could also probably switch it to use the integrated GPU, which is not desirable but might be worth testing to see if the appearance differs at that location. That would help you understand if it’s a GPU or video driver problem. If you upload your last log file to trainerdx.com it will also tell you which GPU was in use when you experienced the problem.
Thanks for your input Paul. If this isn’t a known bug with a ready fix, I’m going to ignore it.
Best,
Andy
