Runn speed glitchy

Hello,

Ive had trouble with the last two runs on Zwift. Since the last upgrade my Runn device has become glitchy with its speed input. The speed will suddenly go from what I am doing to a full on sprint, faster than my treadmill is capable of. I’ve checked software versions and I’ve calibrated the Runn device with its own software and with Zwift. Are there any more steps I can take?

There was some recent Runn discussion that you might find useful…

That’s not really a help. I understand what you are trying to say, but the Runn is surging. It will report back the speed treadmill is set to for a time, then without me changing the speed it will report, for example, 25kph. My treadmill will only do 20kph, or the equivalent power to the motor. The speed of my treadmill has not changed at all. I am physically running at the pace I have set the treadmill to. I am doing a steady run from 8kph to 12 kph, or those are the power settings going to the motor, increasing speed every kilometer . The speed reported from my Runn is surging all the time. There is a bug causing the speed to be inaccurate. I don’t care about the detail of whether my speed input is correct to nth degree. I just want it in the ballpark of what I am doing.

Initially the Runn has the pace not too bad but after a kilometre or so is as much use as a chocolate watch

Hi Sinclair.

I’d recommend doing a factory reset using the NPE app. After that calibrate it in Zwift if that’s how you are using it. I have seen this issue previously although maybe not to the extreme you’re experiencing.

I’ll give that a go. I guess the next step was a factory reset.

It’s not uncommon for them to just go totally out of kilter.

I think I have found the issue. After several resets and false starts I thought I would go right back to the beginning. I redid the marks on the treadmill and I think it looks a lot better. The proof will be in the next run though. A little bit of tipp-ex to the rescue :joy:
