GAME APP 1.81 (Apple TV) The Petite Douleur route shows a distance of 8.6 mi and 639 ft. elevation, earning 280 XP….
Companion App. 3.65.2 iOS 18.2.1… the same route Petite Douleur, details a distance of 15.4 mi. and 1270 ft. elevation, earning 280 XP.
Significant discrepancy in route details and I’m not sure which is correct ??
Long lead-in 
I think the lead-in is fairly long, as the route doesn’t start until the top of the climb. It would be an improvement if both route and lead-in distances were included in Zwift app and companion.
Rode Petite Douleur this morning and it started me at the top of the Petit KOM just before the banner without all the lead in. Was surprised at this for sure.
Maybe this is why there’s a distance discrepancy is the difference in potential places you enter the world?
Ah. Maybe in events you start at the pens (naturally!) but when free riding it starts you just before the actual start. 
Yeah this is not unusual, same thing for some of the coast road routes. You get some extra distance when starting in an event, which in the case of Petite Douleur is probably a pretty significant change in the experience.
It started me at the top as well, I guess whoever is in charge of the Companion App list must not have gotten the memo re: starting position change.
oh remember the good old days when lead-in distance was never mentioned anywhere in the app or game, every day there would be people complaining on the forums about how they didn’t get a route badge even though they did x amount of kms as per the distance noted in the game on the route list.
