Ride-ons from followers. How?

Hey everyone,

I’m still quite new to Zwift and have recently gained a handful of followers. On almost every ride, some of them give me a Ride On — even though they don’t appear to be riding themselves (at least as far as I can tell).

I feel a bit bad that I’m not giving Ride Ons back when they’re on Zwift, but the truth is: I don’t really know how. I thought this would be possible via the Companion app, but I can’t seem to find an “Active Followers” list or get any notifications when they’re riding. I’m using iOS and have notifications enabled.

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You need to follow them to receive notifications when they are riding. You will then receive notifications on the Home Screen of the Companion app.

Also, if you open up the Companion App and hit that blue thumb on the Home Screen, it gives a ride on to everyone you follow who’s currently Zwifting.

Some of those are spectators. I think there’s a badge for it

If you Favourite them (pressing on the star) then you’ll get active notifications.

Ah. I was following others, but did not have them as Favourites….thanks. Hope this does the trick!
