The latest episode of the ZwiftCast Podcast basically implied (based on my listening) Zwift is more interested in growing the total user base instead of appeasing the core base that has been around. Didn’t seem like a good omen, hope this isn’t the case though. Only time will tell.
That makes sense as investors will want to see growth. Racers complaining in the forums won’t affect much. Only when enough of us migrate to another platform will this get much attention beyond some anti-sandbagging tweaks. A platform designed for racing might become popular. It would still be smaller than Zwift… sort of like quality microbrew vs Budweiser. Maybe RGT is that platform. Or another one. It’ll (hopefully) happen eventually.
It’s not about winning or being in Top 10. It’s about being able to even keep up for the first km! The cat system is totally disfunctional. THey need to come out with a Cat C+ or B+ or something as it becomes just easier to say screw ZP I am going to race where I want.
8 Cats would be good.
I think it should be A- and B-.
And B-- and C++
I think the best solution is a single continuum. Wherever you place, you’re first.
great idea
