We’ve temporarily removed the race placements seen on avatars’ backs post-race from event cooldowns while we work to resolve some bugs that recently surfaced.
This will help ensure a more accurate experience for everyone. We appreciate your patience as our team addresses the issue, and we’ll keep you updated once it’s ready to return.
There is another bug. After you finish the race event and switch to the cool down event, it should remove any bike restrictions. I finished Zracing today and switched to TT bike and it kept putting me on Zwift Steel bike. Therefore, I left my fellow racers, exit the cooldown mode and went to free ride to work on my TT bike upgrades.
Has nobody else experienced the cooldown feature not telling them that their next race is about to start?
Pretty sure Saturday’s Tiny Races were the first time I’ve had the cooldown feature, when my race signups for the day weren’t over and I had my next race within 10mins of the previous one finishing.
The cooldown feature must inform racers their next signup is about to start as Zwift did before the feature was introduced, with a “join” icon above the menu in the bottom left corner and the big banner appearing accross the bottom of the screen.
This sounds like something @Eric-Schlange-ZI might want to check out, since there aren’t many other races where people might run into that issue. I wonder if races 1-3 should skip the event cooldown. I mean it should warn you but if it doesn’t, that presents a special risk for this series.
