It is similar to this request from 2019, which was left in “Feedback”.
Please consider a way for sub-groups of people (teams in a race, a social clique of riders in their own subgroup within a group ride, a team of sweeps communicating sweep-specific information within each other, etc… “insert application for this use case here ‘when a handful of people are communicating things among more than 2 people, but less than an entire event, and they have no other way to do it’”), so that it makes the social experience better for everyone. It prevents accessibility issues for the social aspects of rides when this type of chat organization would be beneficial. Relevant information can be split. Some people have difficulty following along on the chat, whether it is due to vision issues in reading text quickly, a language barrier making it challenging to process massive amounts of text for those more fluent in another language, motor/sensory issues making it difficult to scroll, or they just aren’t the most proficient with technology - this request is specifically notable to help them.
This should be accessible regardless of “Event” status, and retained throughout at least the Zwift session, regardless of started within an event or not, and regardless of whether that event is still ongoing.
