i was thinking it there could be pressure pads attached to seat and bars (at an additional cost) so your avatar knows when you are standing up and when you are down on your drops, i notice at times when i’m pushing my avatar sits up and grabs a drink.
If such a thing were to be done, I suspect it would be easier to use a USB camera and use some computer vision to determine you real time position. If this idea is taken further, if you have a stable background it would be possible to devise a crude frontal area calculation for the wind drag component. All of this adds complexity though and I suspect it may not add that much to the experience but from a technical standpoint computer vision is probably best to do this.
