No resistance in free ride (kickr core, Apple Silicon)

My kickr core does not provide any resistance in Zwift free ride, e.g. following a roboracer.
In ERG mode the trainer works as expected.

My setup

  • Kickr Core firmware 1.5.36 (connected via BT)
  • MacBook M3 Pro
  • Zwift v1.81.2, 138718

The resistance used to work in free ride as well but I do not know what changed. Now, when shifting up / down the trainer seems to reduce the resistance or it is close to zero all the time. I can try to spin as fast as possible and it won’t increase in difficulty / power.
Furthermore, when closing the Zwift app it hangs for some time before closing.

Thanks for confirming that everything is updated, I noticed that there have been some interruptions on your account, it’s likely that Zwift isn’t receiving all of your data packets via Bluetooth (BLE), and there might be interference between your devices, I will share this article BLE and ANT+ Interference Troubleshooting Tips which covers some of the main reasons that might be causing this interference and their possible solutions.
