New to Zwift Avatar not moving

New to zwift . I am on the trial period and have a saris mag trainer . I had to purchase sensors . My avatar doesn’t move . Sometimes if I try real hard and go fast it will go but very slow . Everything is new .no problems pairing.

How many watts are you able to generate, it’s the number in the upper left of the screen?

This is a wheel on trainer, so setting it up properly is key. How tight you get the roller against the tire will matter and should be explained in the trainers manual or instructions (the knob on the back). Looks like there is also a knob on the side to set the magnetic resistance, this will need to be set to what Zwift indicates when pairing/choosing the trainer on the pairing screen when you first start up zwift.

None . It’s like my sensors are not working . They are brand new and pairing but nothing is registering .

@Erika_Jackson someone flagged your post so I dont know what you wrote?

Seeing this ‘flagged’ message more recently and when you look into their activity it more often than not comes up with this-
“This user is silenced.
Reason: User silenced automatically by [Discourse AI]”

I just wonder if AI is always getting these right?

yes I noticed that too, seems to be a new “feature”

but now it is showing up? :man_shrugging:

it’s a speed sensor correct? what type/brand and model? Can you post some pictures of it?

Hi @Erika_Jackson, welcome to Zwift! I’m Francisco from Zwift Support.

I just want to make sure before we dive deeper: are you currently using the Saris Mag trainer together with the COOSPO BK467 Cycling Speed/Cadence Sensor? That confirmation will help us guide you in the right direction, since the Saris Mag isn’t a smart trainer on its own and relies on the speed sensor to move your avatar, as noted on the manufacturer’s website.

From your logs, I can see the sensor listed as Non‑Selected: BK6LS‑0040368 (0x188875FA) [BLE]. Could you share a picture of your pairing screen so we can better understand how the devices are connecting?

On what device are you running Zwift? And have you paired your sensors directly in the Zwift game, as opposed to the device settings?

I have a saris mag + , and the sensors are as you mentioned .

I can take a photo of the paring tonight .

On what device are you running Zwift? PC/Mac? Tablet? Phone?

Running on a phone .

And you’re sure you don’t have the sensors paired to the phone itself? Check the phone’s Bluetooth settings, just to be sure, and ‘forget’ them if you see the, there. Also, be sure to force close the Zwift app after each use, not just swipe it into the background.

would support be able to see them in the log file if they aren’t paired with Zwift, I don’t think that is the issue here?

No Zwift says they are paired to the program .

Perhaps. But it also seems like there are numerous posts over the years where people have similar issues, with Zwift showing their devices being ‘connected’, but not actually working in-game, and then realize they have paired their device directly to the phone/tablet, and removing it from the devices BT settings corrects the issue.
