[Ahem] Sorry that got long.
Note that it doesn’t matter if his interpretation of your health risks are correct. The boss in my example, or someone else who might use your HR data against your best interest, won’t tell you they are using your data. You won’t have an opportunity to prove that you are a superhuman athlete, completely immune to strokes and heart attack. (Are you? )
It’s not in our best interests to publish our sensitive health data on the internet. That’s crazy
You should have no problem sharing your HR data
That was not considered “private” until someone told you it was.
It’s not really that personal.
If you don’t want to publish, that’s fine but everyone should wonder why you don’t.
You can have a private setting in Zwift and choose not to share HR in ZwiftPower (and Strava). That will not DQ you in any races as you record HR, but it is not open for anyone else to see.
Does the boss get fired as well for causing huge legal problems for the company? Or for probably being a couch potato and being a health risk merely walking to the office kitchen, like some I’ve seen because they are dangerously unfit.
I wouldn’t worry about the heart rate data being seen, you can’t tell that much from it anyway. Just ride around with a Zwift name you change every week (like some here do) and no avatar and don’t upload activities to a public strava account.
Back to the topic - even the cheating racers are starting to argue who is a bigger cheat for teleporting in their WhatsApp group chats.
Out of interest, how do you tell if a fellow rider is a bot?
Anyway, re pacers, I’ve moved onto upgrading my third specialised bike to unlock the Halo, and chose the cheapest available in the drop shop, which is a gravel bike. (Diverge?) Anyway, whereas on the SL8 I could cruise at circa 2.7w/kg in the Yumi group (notionally 2.9) on the gravel bike I had to average 3.0 to keep up with the Coco (2.6?) group. To be fair, even Coco seemed to be struggling at the back most of the time in a very large group with some lively riders at the front.
Simply, teleports could be like coffee breaks, only 1 available every half hour (I would suggest 1 every full hour but my suggestions aren’t valid here)
The only major downside is when teleport fails when you’re trying to use it legitimately.
ie: Thursday I TP’d to Jacques and it put me behind him, and then said “failed to find rider”, and despite putting out plenty of watts I got dropped like a rock.
