Great to ride the new NY course. I am sure that Zwift teams are working on
what courses you might add in the future and I wanted to put in a plug for
Sydney, Australia. A few suggestions for you to consider :
Start at the iconic Sydney Opera House forecourt - right adjacent the
harbor. Ride around the domain water’s edge past Lady Macquarie’s Chair
and the Boy Charlton Pool and up to Macquarie Street, past the State
Parliament house, Sydney Hospital and the historic first Australian Mint.
Head out along College St past the Australian Museum and through the Kings
Cross Tunnel to Edgecliff and right into Queen Street and eventually to
Centennial Park (already a bike rider’s haven). A lap of the park and head
back into town along Allison Road and Anzac Parade past the Sydney Cricket
Ground and Fox Studios.
Another course might be starting in the City at College Street and follow
the famous ‘City to Surf’ running course, which travels from the city to
the iconic Bondi Beach. That is 14ks. A return to the city could be
another 10-15ks by winding back along the near to Bondi beaches of
Turramurra and Coogee and the climb up Coogee Bay Road.
Then of course there is the trip over the Sydney Harbor Bridget after
starting at the Opera House and perhaps going up Macquarie Street and over
to Darling Harbor and Barangaroo before heading up the Bridge and then
climbing up past Nth Sydney to Lane Cove and eventually back via Victoria
Rd and Gladesville Bridge back into the city.
There are so many course opportunities by combining elements of the
examples I mention above. Sydney is a reasonably hilly place so lots of
climbs, although places such as Centennial Park offer flat rides and sprint
opportunities.
Just a thought for future planning. Your feedback to the development team welcome!
