Create a ride achievement for when reaching the circumference of the earth. That would be 40,075 km or 24,901 miles. This would take quite a while for most people, but would be rather prestigious for those who earned it.
Depends a bit what the reward is.
If is just a kit with a globe on it its fine. If you make it too good, like some superframe/wheels people will cheat for it.
Agree, one of the challenges with achievements is that others can’t see them. We can see what level someone is, but not their achievements, and that’s a shame. Perhaps something like an earth in the user profile would be good, but the user profile is already very busy, so that’s probably not a great solution. I dunno, maybe when they give a ride on they give 3 points, or instead of confetti it shows an icon of a bike going around the earth. Totally spit balling. Bottom line, I think it should give prestige, not stuff.
I agree, we can’t have nice things anymore. Super fast bikes or other things just end up with mass cheating to unlock them as soon as possible. That happened with bike upgrades and halo bikes.
A jersey unlock would be okay.
Maybe also have some kind of shortcut route like a tunnel going to Alpe du Zwift instead of having to spend 10 minutes slogging through the jungle. This could be a neat unlock and different to a jersey.
I treat the slog through the jungle on the way to the Alpe as a warmup, as I’m sure most people do.
I have barely 2 hours time to do 2 laps of it per day, and it’s annoying. The first two sectors of ADZ are my warmup.
There should be a way to skip it for those who want to do that, while folks who want the old way can have that.
Imagine if there was a 10 minute rolling hills gravel warmup for Tempus Fugit… There will be so many happy people.
Tempus Fugit does have 1.4 mile lead in.
But it’s only 20 feet of elevation. ![]()
