Have seen/heard conflicting reports of folks receiving route badges after late joining a group event but nothing officially from Zwift itself (just community members). It could have been these were bugs….I don’t know. For instance a buddy completed a recent Unlocked event after a very late join and unexpectedly obtained a route badge. I’ll be leading a PRL Full event and need to make sure I have my info 100% correct as I wouldn’t want anyone to late join, ride that long, and not get the badge. Still want to keep late join an option for anyone wanting to drop in and domestique part of the route for the others.
As far as I can tell though route badges should only be awarded if the FULL route is covered. Seems logical. On most routes this does NOT include the lead-in, so in those cases a late join in the first few minutes would be ok.
