My Zwift Avatar Not Moving

Hello All,

Hopefully you can help me and i havnt thrown 1k down the drain.

I have the Zwift Ride

Zwift Bike Bars

KICKR CORE 2

paid subscription to Zwift

first few rides went ok, had issues with gearing not working but resolved that.

now, my avatar will not move, it recognisies i am getting on the bike and peddling as the avatar gets on the bike, gets off when i stop peddling.

watts, cadence etc all displaying and moving.

gear change on the bars by pressing a button (press it once) and it just shoots to the lowest gear making it near impossible to peddle, either that or it displays a 1 that moves to a 2 then back to a 1

using the wahoo app also

using zwift on my Samsung Fold 6, the only thing zwift is on, is in a shed with no other devices or bluetooth connections

running the wifi off my mobile phone (wondering if this is an issue but was working before using it)

things tried:

updated everything to latest versions, multiple uninstalls and updates

ran the KICKR CORE alone through the wahoo app on egr mode ramping up the power every minute and that is working fine

forgot and re-paired all devices

tried running zwift without the wahoo app and with it

really pulling my hair out with it as not a cheap bit of kit and very poor suport from Zwift themselves in the UK.

has anyone found a fix for this, or is there another cycling app that will be fully workable with the Zwift Ride

This sounds like my issue. Hopefully Zwift figures it out.

It’s possible the brakes are faulty, so you should contact support. You can also go into settings and move the Braking Sensitivity slider all the way to the left to see if that helps. If not, you could do ERG mode workouts until you get it resolved. ERG mode does not depend on the controls being paired at all.

thx Paul, not the brakes as i dont touch them, its the gearing buttons, either the onscreen gears shows 1 then flicks to 2 then back to 1 constantly if pressing the change button or now it starts on gear 8, press the gear change button and it sequentially goes to 24. oddly it worked last night after a couple of weeks of not working then wont work tonight, not sure if it is my phone and the hotspot connection, going to bring the bike in the house and try on my fibre connection to see if that helps, if not then it is Zwift being shoddy. seems no other biking app will allow me to use the Zwift bars which is a bit shite as im left with kit that wont work, reached out to Zwift support again but last time just got a Zwift user who said uninstall then contact wahoo support..
