That would rather scupper one of the aims of recon rides, namely an opportunity for unsigned riders to get to know prospective teams and vice versa.
I don’t think it should be a requirement.
I do know that none of the Zwift ZRL sign up pages show any information. I’ve been trying for a few weeks to sign up for a team that says they are recruiting.

Yes, that’s what I thought. So why does Rein’s total show 239?
I assume that they have three of those event-only badges that you don’t, but are missing a few other badges.
No, the 4 that Rein mentions are also event only.
There is a somewhat “hidden” screen that shows event only routes that also have badges.
You get to it by starting Zwift and instead of pairing a trainer, choose just watch. Hit ESCAPE and then go back to the pause screen and then choose the achievements from the right side. That screen is still the old one that shows all the badges that are available.
I think it needs to be removed so naughty folks can’t go snooping around easily finding those top secret event only route badges.

It just seems so silly hiding them in the first place. Thinking of the development effort to half do that, and what else could have been done instead…

Zwift probably thought, for once, they would consider the suggestion (from a very small minority ?) of users who didn’t like seeing a badge placeholder for an event only badge they couldn’t yet achieve. One of the dangers of making changes at the request of the minority ?
I have pictured the way the conversation went at Zwift headquarters…
Product Manager: I have noticed a lot of complaints from people who are having trouble getting route only badges, let’s discuss our options…
Dev: Well, in the code it’s easy to just allow people to select these routes, maybe after a set time they can become selectable, and no longer event only? Or… You can also do an event every once in a while that focuses on all the event only routes without any code change at all! Maybe even double XP for finishing new routes during these events? Or even reach out to event organizers to see if they want to collaborate on something like this so we can boost their numbers?
Product Manager: Creating a new event sounds like a lot of work, we’re already packed on events, and it seems wrong to just let people ride event only routes… I know! What if we just hide those achievements, so nobody will even know which badges they don’t have, then they can’t complain about not having them!
Dev: Well, that’s pretty easy to do in the code if that’s what you want …. But how will people even use these event only routes as a carrot to search out new events if they don’t know which are event only?
Product Manager: Great! Let’s add that to the next sprint, very easy way to reduce the number of complaints.

Zwift says, “In the Achievements screen, placeholder badges will now only be shown for routes that are available to all Zwifters in the Routes list. If a route is only accessible via an Event, the badge will be shown in the Achievements screen if it has been earned.”
I know, but there is the hack to make the unearned event only route badges visible as well as described in this thread and others obviously have them all incl. “Three Step Sisters” as the screenshots in this thread are showing. Or is “Three Step Sisters” the only exeption which does not work with the “hack” and is shown only if it has been ridden? I somehow doubt that.
In the past, some newly added route badges did not appear near other badges in the same world. Have you looked through all the badges to make sure that Three Step Sisters is not listed somewhere else?
This. I had the same. It showed 238 but now that I have done the Three Step Sisters it shows 239. So that one was really hidden somehow.
