I’ve recently started experiencing major power fluctuations of +/-100 watts during Zwift group rides. This happened on my last two rides—one today and one last night.
For example, when I aim to hold a steady 250W, my power jumps between 200W and 300W, even though I’m maintaining a constant cadence and effort, especially on flat terrain. This makes it really difficult to stay centered in the group, whereas I normally have no issue riding smoothly with the RoboPacer.
This has never been a problem until last night—before that, my power typically fluctuated by no more than 25 watts. Interestingly, I don’t see this issue when using ERG mode in structured workouts.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what might be causing it or how to fix it?
