Looking on Zwifthacks tags, while all cats are setup for same time starts, these appear to be setup so that you can only see your own category (not all categories)? That doesn’t seem was going to be the intent @James_Zwift ?
Tags should instead include “See only event riders” and “See all Categories”
Interesting. Where do the tags come from if they’re not automatic from the event configurations used?
In effect, looking at another event, which has different tags but I think is the same mass start intent, you’re saying there’d be no difference?
The event could be setup at the start as a Staggered and later changed to mass start and the tags were not changed. You have many events with bot PD4 and PD5 tags
As Dejan has pointed out, if the categories start at the same time they will always be visible to each other.
It’s because these events are set to subgroup only filtering, which is the default. The Zwift Hacks is likely looking for event only filtering (everyone sees everyone) but I don’t change the filtering at our end because there’s no need to and it’s just another thing to (needlessly) do.
Ok, good to know. Though if people use the ZH filters to find an event of this type, then it won’t return expected results. I guess what’s being said is that it’s enough to just set filters as “Race” and “Same time starts” and leave it at that to find mass start, all category races where everyone can see everyone?
But will their true category be shown in the zwifters nearby list? I have seen this not show up in a mass start race using ZRS, and it is helpful to know if the people in your group or close ahead are in your category or a different one.
