It would be a fun and challenging feature if violating the fence simply relegated violators to the back of the field (or maybe 30 sec behind that). Then some riders would use it as a training vehicle… get pushed to the back and have to chase back to catch on… instead of a penalty it could be fun and useful tool!
I’m afraid the group rides will end up not being riders riding in a group, but rather riders scattered all over. Some just behind the fence, some around the leader, and some doing intervals.
