macOS 27 Wi-Fi connectivity w/ JetBlack Victory (workaround)

mDNS broadcast doesn’t work on macOS 27 (Local Network permissions don’t transfer from the launcher to the game app) when using the usual Zwift launcher (Zwift icon), so the JetBlack is not found on the local network, and you cannot connect using Wi-Fi to the trainer.

The workaround for now is to launch the app directly from the Terminal. The app executable is “$HOME/Library/Application Support/Zwift/ZwiftAppSilicon”; make sure you give permissions to access Local Network to Terminal when requested, and you are good to go.

I thought like sharing as it made me waste a few hours until I found the issue.

BTW, this probably happens with Wahoo trainers as well.

Thanks for the details @_Berto - we’re looking into a fix for this but no timeline yet. We’ll update this thread once we have more details.

Have you already installed launcher version 1.1.18? It has fixes for some network permission issues. Not sure if it will help you but you should definitely try it.

Maybe I am blind, but don’t find the launcher there.

When you go to zwift.com/download and select the macOS option, the thing you are downloading is the launcher.

I was under the impression this download would be the complete game installation.

Launcher installed, will check whether it is working fine without the workaround.
