Pretty niche situation here, BUT if you have two instances of Zwift open, and ride in one (like an hour TT) that credit doesn’t seem to get saved.
How would someone find themselves in this situation? Well in my example I have my ‘main’ Zwift setup downstairs with my Mac Mini, sometime I forget to full exit Zwift on that computer and leave it hanging on the home screen. So at night when I want to ‘watch’ a club member on my MacBook Air, I open Zwift so then have two instances of Zwift on. Now keep following. If I shut my MacBook Air without exiting Zwift and the following day go for a ride on my ‘main’ Zwift setup that time doesn’t get saved, also same situation if you buy a bike with two Zwift instances open.
Now should I get better at closing Zwift, SURE. But this day and age I’ve developed a bad habit of just closing my laptop. SO there’s some sort of bug in bike memory for Zwift if you have two instances open at the same time.
It should be handled better but this is a very common problem people run into. It is more of a design problem than a bug but nevertheless it causes a lot of bad experiences. You can contact support to ask them to restore stuff that you lost.
If it’s not a bug, how is it possible? You can argue that’s not how Zwift is designed and that I shouldn’t be able to open two instances of Zwift. But I can.
I would consider it a bug that Zwift allows multiple simultaneous clients to be logged in while only one is supported. Other services with this limitation will kick old sessions when you log in from a new location.
Zwift can either
Kick the old session, logging you out from your first client
Reject the second log-in, stating that a session is already active
It’s been going on for many years, and they are well aware of it. It is a pain point for their support staff, which is good because they need that pain to focus on the problem. Make your pain into their pain.
