Kickr Direct - Resistance only via Ant+

If I select my power meter for Power first and then go to the Controllable trainer, the only option is the Kickr5 via Ant+. There is no Bluetooth or Direct Connect.

If I select the kickr5 for Power first and then go to Resistance, I can then select Direct Connect. I can go back to power then swap to the power meter, and Zwift continues to use Direct Connect for resistance. Unless I click on resistance, then again, the only option is kickr5 via Ant+.

Was always the same for me, I believe it’s expected behaviour.
Tacx Neo 2, Win 10 PC, using NGeco power meter.

I find slightly unreasonable that Zwift would not allow you to use your Kickr for resistance if you select your power meter through Bluetooth and do not have an ANT+ dongle.

Without an ANT+ dongle, if I select Kickr first (through direct connect) it also gets used for Resistance. If I then select my power meter the Kickr for resistance is retained.

But if I then click on Resistance Zwift forgets all about the existence of the Kickr and direct connect.

Of course you can start over, select Kickr for Power (which gets you resistance). And the reselect power meter for Power. And don’t select Resistance as it is already set correctly.

This cannot be the intended behaviour.

That’s exactly what I do. Now you write

In this case there must be a problem with the Kickr, or it is something special for Direct Connect. My pairing sequence is as I wrote and I have no issues with resistance.

Edit - I use Bluetooth only!
