For the home trainer update, I used Wi-Fi connection (Zwift is not running).

So step 1: Configure the Wi-Fi in the HT (via the myETraining app) and activate the auto update. See above the problem I had with this option.

Step 2: Power-off and power-on the HT (perform 4 ON-OFF cycles to get one access to the Elite server). The HT downloads the FW update.

Step 3: Then you have to power-off and on again, and the HT installs the update.

To use the virtual shifting with Zwift, the smartphone is connected to the HT via Bluetooth (not via Wi-Fi).

You will get issue if you configure the trainer on Zwift via a Wi‑Fi connection, while the Zwift Click supports Bluetooth connection only. In this configuration, it is not compatible with Zwift Virtual Shifting.
In that case, you just need to:

  1. Unpair the trainer from Zwift.

  2. Pair the trainer again, making sure to select the Bluetooth option.

During pairing, please select “All” in the search, and then choose the trainer name with the Bluetooth icon.

I did the Update from 36 to 37.

Virturtual shifting is working with buetooth. Hope it is working with wifi soon.
