Jet Black Victory

Yup.
Got no virtual shifting as was defaulting to Ant+ when WiFi wasn’t working.

So it kinda let me set that up.

But no gear display in game :person_shrugging:

CONNECTING CLICK TO ZWIFT
• Conrm your VICTORY Smart Trainer is connected via Bluetooth—the BLE icon—in the PAIRED

• Make sure your trainer has the latest rmware.
• Press either button on the Zwift Click to turn it on.
• The LED will ash blue when ready to pair.
• Check your Zwift Click rmware is up to date. For steps on updating your Zwift Click rmware,
check out this article on Zwift support pages.
• Close the Zwift Companion (ZC) app to ensure the Zwift Click is no longer connected to the ZC

Got an email a week ago saying once they get it unpacked from the port in the US they’ll provide me with a FedEx shipping tracking. Still nothing. Looks like I won’t get it before Christmas like they said.

I got the firmware updated on the click, since then it doesn’t turn on at all.

i would restart Zwift and see if that solves the problem

Was the jet-black app. Even after disconnecting and force close it still had the WiFi connection.

Keeping the app open and making sure nothing was connecting… suddenly working in zwift.

So just the dead click to resurrect.

good news on that then👍

Yes. Today. The most maddening piece of kit I’ve encountered. Major issues with connections, irrespective of type, i.e. WiFi, Bluetooth, bridging. Shows as connected but doesn’t transmit power ( wattage) and this isn’t a Zwift issue, it’s the same in its own app. Switches back and forth between phone and Bluetooth on the Zwift connection page under its own steam, and generally doesn’t work.

The app keeps crashing, you can’t delete a WiFi connection, and all the updates have been done

So yeah, I’m impressed

3 hours of my life I’m not getting back!

3… Just 3 that’s basically putting you top of cat B.

7 …7 hours I’ve spent  firmly rooted at the foot of cat D for set up ability

Just received my Victory today. Power seems to be reading 10-20 watts lower for me on average, despite a few spin down calibrations and a firmware update.

Using Apple TV pairs ok, but whilst trying to use the comapnion app, so that I can use Zwift click and HR, there are no power readings and HR keeps losing connectivity. And then the companion app crashes.

I like the virtual shifting on the hills.

It’s the lower power readings that concern me most. Will try a few more calibrations and see.

With the Victory, aren’t you supposed to be able to use that as a bridge for multiple devices (exceeding the 2 supported by ATV), so that you can skip using the Companion app as a bridge?

Yeah I was going to try that tomorrow to see If it connects better. Had enough for one day with it!

Compared with … ?

My saris H3 was over reading a bit compared to faveros. This looks pretty conclusive.

I was hoping I wasn’t going to have such a drop :sob:

Compared with my Wahoo Powerlink pedals which in turn read slightly lower than the Elite Direto XR

You can pair the heart rate to the Victory. It will then relay that to Zwift. Saves one bluetooth connection.

…saying that as I received my Victory yesterday (UK) and after all the usual hassles (install the mandatory app, upgrade firmwares, learn where all the new options are in menus) I couldn’t be happier.

Biggest kudos goes to the Cog2 - the noise drop is brilliant. Virtual gearing is great and very responsive though find the right spots on the Play controllers is not perfect.

Getting the Victory onto WiFi and then onto Zwift direct connect was less than 10 minutes work and was flawless for tonights 1-hour ride. So bye-bye the long USB cable for the Ant+ dongle. And with heart paired to the Victory it’s also bye-bye need Bluetooth on the PC.

Biggest shock was how light the Victory was compared to the Kickr. I didn’t spot anything about the build that said it wasn’t built well - but on that only time will tell.

I love Wahoo kit - it’s solid and well built. But whilst I couldn’t justify buying the latest Kickr to get the features missing on my Kickr v5, the Victory price point made it a much easier pain to bear.
