Has anyone received their Jet Black Victory trainer yet? And if so, what are your thoughts? I just pre-ordered mine here in the states and supposed to receive it late December. I will be ordering the Zwift Ride to pair with it. If Garmin decides to announce they’ll be adding virtual shifting to their trainers, I may cancel my order unless the Victory has some outstanding reviews. ---

Following this. Like you, I have ordered the Jet Black Victory, and have bought and received the Zwift Ride Smart Frame. I hope for excellent feedback from people on the Victory with or without the Frame. ---

Yup, got my Victory last week! Replacing a 10 year old Kickr 2014 that was still working, but getting kinda tired. Also using the virtual shifting which is taking some getting used to. I am however experiencing an issue connecting the Victory to my Apple TV using Bluetooth (please note, this exact setup & location worked for years with my Kickr). When I go to the device pairing screen in Bluetooth mode, all of the Victory sensor signal strength indicators rapidly ‘oscillate’ between 2 bar red weak signal and 4 bar green strong signal. No idea why. Same bike. Same Apple TV. Same location. Different trainer … I’m now connecting via the Zwift Companion app, which works fine, but I want need to figure out what the issue is with the Victory. It should work. If I can’t get it to work it’s going back. I have sent a could of support requests to Jetblack. Hopefully I hear back from them! ---

Well, I’m actually using both - some stuff paired through the companion app (HRM, Zwift Play controllers) and the trainer connected through Wifi. I know it works connected like that, but the Bluetooth should work too. ---

Noted - I plan on using my victory through the companion app. In that case I would have no problem? I also have Apple TV setup. ---

It works great through the companion app and wifi. It’s just the Bluetooth thing that’s driving me nuts, not because I want to use it, but because it should work. It’s a feature of the product I may want to use at some point. ---

It works great! No issues there. Very quiet compared to my 10-year old Kickr. The drivetrain noise is the loudest thing now. I’m using the virtual shifting in Zwift. It seems like a convenient way to swap my different bikes onto the trainer (I have both 11 speed and 12 speed bikes I want to use on the trainer). However, I’m still getting used to it. Not sure I love it, but I have the option to fit a cassette to the Victory if I want to. ---

From my understanding it’s something you have to get used but once you do it’s supposed to be real convenient ---

I pre-ordered back in August. I still have not received mine (Im in EU). Its really left a sour note, and something Jetblack are failing massively on. This was an open goal, they could have sewn up the market if they could get this right, but it seems between delivery delays and not being able to produce them in sufficient quantities, they are struggling. Its now 6 weeks after I was supposed to receive my order, Ive emailed to cancel my order as I need to replace my existing trainer, and have no idea when Jetblack will be delivering that one. ---

6 weeks is uncalled for. I wish Garmin would just get on the virtual cycling so I wouldn’t have to worry about this. ---

I pre ordered mine (in Canada) in October with expected shipping in November, but not heard anything since. Hoping it will ship soon, but my tacx is hanging in there as long as I don’t do too many sprints! ---

My first one started making horrible noises just before the warranty expired. They replaced it with a refurb unit that started rumbling when standing after 6 months, garmin said it wasn’t covered by warranty. I found an aftermarket piece to fix that problem, but then it started overheating, I think an internal fan has gone. I’ve attached another fan to the outside of the unit which helps, but if i do sustained efforts at high (for me 250w) power for maybe 5 minutes and/or frequent sprints (so races) it just overheats and shuts down. ---
