issues with wattage

I have been doing a mix of jon’s short mix and jons workout ride and notice that when it comes to the really high wattage intervals I can get up to about 420 watts and then even though I am still pushing harder and the tyre seems to be spinning faster my watts drop out all of a sudden back to around 300. Is there a reason for this? I have tried all combinations of gears and adjusting the resistance on my trainer (which is a Minoura B60R) but nothing seems to help, my legs are spinning faster but the watts reduce.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated - I have trawled through the support community but it doesn’t look like anyone has the same problems.
