Wondering if removing that (if it’s still in) would help with the dynamics of racing? I think the criteria that was used initially during the beta was that auto-brake would kick in after two seconds of no pedaling on anything from -3 - 0% grade. Haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere recently and I assume it’s still in.
I think the braking only comes into play around 20 kph or less, above that you coast, as far as I can see.
I don’t see how auto-braking helps dynamics of racing - can you explain how you think it would?
I think the opposite is being suggested – if auto-braking still exists, to get rid of it to improve racing dynamics. I think one result would be to make the time penalty for bike swapping take longer.
#banthebrake why do people continue to want braking in a virtual world? the initial ask was the ability to control static positioning, but starting on the virtual trainer corrals fixed that.
Did something change with auto-braking, maybe in the last dynamics update? I could be imagining things, but it seems now that any pause in cadence (0 rpm), and my speed drops really quickly and unnaturally.
