Incline Control in Companion and Trainer Difficulty Interaction

I’m new to Zwift so apologies if this is a dumb question.

What is the relationship between the “Incline” setting on the Companion app and the Trainer Difficulty setting in he Zwift app?

If the Trainer Difficulty is set to 100% does the Incline setting in Companion override or interface with it at all?

Incline is for workout mode, it change the resistance of the trainer.

Trainer difficulty set how the trainer stimulate hills in free rides and events.
