HR sensor shows up in Run mode, but not in Ride mode

Hi! On Android, my HR sensor shows up in Run mode, but not in Ride mode (even if no other BLE devices are connected in Zwift). I have been struggling with this issue for two weeks. It used to work before that. The HR sensor is a Garmin HRM Pro +

Is this a ‘never’ shows up in ride mode? Or only doesn’t show up when switching from run to ride?

Hi Nigel,

It never shows up in Ride mode. After logging in, Zwift takes me to Ride mode which only shows two devices (Power Source and Speed Sensor), even if I wait some time with my HR sensor on. Then, if I switch to Run mode, the HR sensor shows up there.

This problem appears on both my Android phones, with both of my HR sensors, and also after removing and re-installing the app.

In the mean time, Zwift support got back to me and they advised me to change location permissions for Zwift. After doing so, and after connecting the trainer, the HR sensor showed up again.

A detail: Zwift advised me to set location permissions to “Always on”, but my version of Android did not have that setting. Instead, I switched from “Never” to “When using the app”.

Anyway, all good now.
