Hoping for some Discord help

Hello All. I know this isn’t a Zwift question but I’ve tried everywhere to get help for this Discord issue. I am unable to open the Discord app today and was disappointed that I couldn’t chat on the ride. I’ve watched Youtube videos to delete the app from my phone but I don’t have a delete button for the app.
When I go back to the App Store, I can’t delete it there either. I’ve restarted my phone and have closed the app many times. Nothing is working. I’ve tried reaching out to Discord support but I think it’s not an option as I’m not a paying customer. Attached is what I see when I try to open the app. I wonder if there are any suggestions.

Holding ur fingertip at the screen for 2-3 secs will give u the possibility of deleting the app and a reinstall.

iOS is at the latest version?

This is not really a Discord question, it’s more of a how to use your phone question. Based on the resolution of your screenshot it looks like you probably have an iPhone 12 or 13 (?) so this process should work:

This is the kind of support I do in-person at a public library so if you get stuck you could give the library a ring and ask if they offer free tech support. Or if you have a local store for your cellular carrier that might be another option.

I have an iPhone 16. I have already tried to delete the app completely. It’s off my home screen but I want to uninstall. There is no delete app option on my iPhone.

Thanks.. holding the fingertip doesn’t work- I just get what I posted. I didn’t realize there is a new IOS version. I’ll try updating

Swipe left until you see the app library as seen in this document

Then search for Discord, and hold your finger down on the Discord icon until a menu pops up with an option to Remove App

So, I can’t do this. I removed it from my Home Screen already but that doesn’t delete it. Because I did that, the only way I can get to it is to open it at the App Store. When I open it, it does to the image I attached which means I’m dead in the water. I should have removed the app when I had the chance but wasn’t sure I needed to do that.

When it’s removed from the home screen, it’s still in the app library. That’s why I suggest that approach.

An alternate way to remove it would be to go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage, scroll down to the apps, tap on Show All if necessary, when you find Discord, tap on that. Scroll down to the bottom and choose Delete App.

It’s odd because I don’t have the delete app option on the iPhone for Discord.

Attached is what it looks like in settings on my phone

That looks like what you would see if you went to Settings → Apps → Discord, but you want to go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Discord (and may need to hit Show All to see it).
