Why are there so many drop points needed 600,000 for the last /final aero upgrade?after riding 600 minutes you also have to get 600,000!
Don’t look at the Drops required to upgrade halo bikes …

That is for the final upgrade.
Total of 10,000,000 drops for all the upgrades on a Halo bike.

Well, for years people with a lot of miles on Zwift were complaining that they had millions and millions of drops with nothing to spend them on. When Zwift released the halo bikes and bike upgrades they suggested that now people can’t complain there’s nothing to spend drops on.
So I suppose one of the answers is these things cost a lot of drops because people complained there was nothing to spend drops on

riding with a pacer bot for those 600 minutes should give you all the drops you need to buy the upgrade, averaging around 66,000 drops per hour

Because for years people refused to buy anything and had 100,000,000+ drops, this meant that if Zwift released any desirable bike they could just purchase it immediately with no progression through the game.
Now with halo bikes it is the same, people have just stuck with the old Tron and upgraded it to level 5, paid the penalty to get that and that’s it. No purchasing anything else. So they are again skipping all the efforts of Zwift to reduce the fortunes of these mega-rich folk.
Wonder when we will see bike maintenance in the drop shop, if you don’t maintain your high tech tron each month (which will cost 750,000 drops) it will slow down and become unreliable. Forcing you to pay up or have to buy a different bike. Perhaps others like SL8 will get chain drops on races if not maintained.
Just spend a few hours at the stone way sprint and farm huge amounts of drops. You can even set up a friend account parked at the start and teleport back so you don’t have to do the arduous task of riding back 400 metres after then end.

A couple of weeks and job done
I mentioned this awhile ago about bike part degradation, and having to put drops toward bike maintenance, I was pretty much called an idiot by some of the entitled members here.
That’s because they are worried it might actually happen!
It is a bit over complicated and takes away from what Zwift should really be, but isn’t everyone in the game of making satirical/stirring feature suggestions?
I wonder when the next brand new high end fastest TT bike is due? It must be about time for it, probably right when the OP has upgraded the Cadex to level 5.
