Is there an option to allow me to never see a specific other user in-game?
The obvious bot on Stoneway Sprint that does exactly 3.6 w/kg +/ 0.2 for 24 hours 7 days a week but never gets dealt with – well, it’s just gross to see, and since reports are ignored, it would be great to just hide this person and go on with my life as if they didn’t exist.
This isn’t possible. Besides which it seems that this sort of thing is largely accepted by the community because they won’t report these bots or make a big noise about it.
If enough people started jumping up and down, this would get fixed up quickly. Along with the sudden massive weight reductions and increases.
Only other way is set up a private club event and ride alone.
I would certainly like to use an incognito mode that hides me from everyone else and I don’t see them.
If you disconnect from the internet after starting your ride, this is exactly what happens, isn’t it? Just be sure to reconnect before trying to save your ride.
Setting up private events is too many steps and very inflexible as far as timing, and you surely would know this.
Imagine you could tick a check-box when starting a ride to have incognito riding mode, then record the time creating a private event would take in comparison.
It should just be a check box you can enable when starting a ride. Why must this simple thing have so many barriers?
Making people disconnect their internet or go through other hoops and hurdles to achieve something pretty simple is not the right way.
Chris has the right idea. However, I am kind of sad that folks would choose “incognito” mode to hide themselves when it’s really just a few bad people and bots out there and I should be able to hide them. They’re the ones cheating, other people shouldn’t have to adjust their play style for them. I don’t want to ride alone in the world or not be seen, I want the cheater to either face a consequence or get hidden from the normal humans in-game.
I looked at this person’s ZwiftPower page, and every single one of his last 10 or so races have been at EXACTLY 3.6 w/kg average. So this guy is cheating in open world, cheating in races, and has an A category rating for it. Meanwhile, it’s me who has to do something? Oh well.
Oh well, I guess crusading for justice in a video game doesn’t ever work.
