On many group rides, the sweeper could do with some help; shepherding riders back into the fold, while all too often the strongest riders surf the screen at the front of the bunch.
Could the red beacon have a powering up effect (if enabled when setting up the ride), similar to a Pace Partner - but give a spin of the Power Ups roulette after a (configurable by ride leader?) period of time?
Example:
On a long group ride, with a number of sprint segments, the ride leader will often ask riders wishing to attempt the sprint to drop to the back of the group before the sprint.
Why not incentivise them to stay at the back (and help out), and they might get an Aero boost power up for the next sprint segment.
