Heart rate connected but not tracking

I have been using zwift for over one year with a Garmin forerunner 945 as my heart rate monitor. This month it has been connecting as usual but will only stay at the heart rate I was at when I first connected and not continually monitor or adjust to my actual heart rate. Tried resetting iPad and watch. Tried using different device (not my usual iPad) for the ride. Same problem. Any tips?

Hi @Niels_Snyder, welcome to Forums! I’m Francisco from Zwift Support.

Looks like your Garmin Forerunner 945 is acting up a bit. It’s crucial to keep tabs on your performance, so let’s share some ideas to help get it back on track.

Can you try to do a hard reset by manufacturer guidance:

  1. Ensure the watch is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Down, Start, and Back buttons.
  3. Power the watch on while holding these buttons.
  4. After the first beep, release the Start button.
  5. After the second beep release the remaining buttons.

In the meantime, I checked your log server and noticed some BLE disconnection errors related to the Forerunner 945. It might help if you follow the steps in this article to resolve this matter.
