Game Update v 1.122 [September 2026]

This is just virtual shifting though, all its doing is adding or lowering resistance in certain increments, the options should really be endless

Got logged in to race ZRL today and the gigantic chase event card still just dominated everything. No immediate indication of where I needed to click to join my event 30 minutes early for grabbing a pen spot. Eventually found it (it was 4:30am so you’ll have to cut me some slack) in the for you list but nothing was highlighted to make the event I was signed up for obvious etc.

tl;dr the ginormous “theater card” is a complete waste of space and is a worsening from how things were before. That plus the unhelpful progress card means over half the Home Screen space is wasted.

Nigel! That’s old school, also the reason why I don’t have Gear indicators on my bikes. Like you say, if it’s too light, shift, and if you are on a hill and you can’t shift anymore into a lighter gear, well there you are, … doomed to climb in that gear… hence never mind the gear ratio. Cheers

Zwift has been working well for me over the last 6 years but noticed some new less fun behaviours after last update a few days ago.

1. When clicking join event when in a ride, sometimes Zwift totally crash and one gets back to Windows desktop. Upon restarting Zwift it’s been OK (so far) but very worried this will happen when one is joining a race last minute and it will crash.

  1. When one starts Zwift and enter homescreen, one can see the event/race I am signed up to. If I then pre-join the race, just to hold my spot in the Pen, exits out and gets back to the homescreen, the event is not there any longer. But If I starts riding something, such as a pacebot, I get the Join/Timer to the event in the lower left. Made me very worried yesterday before jmping into ZRL race.

Thanks

Can you share the PC hardware specs?

Have you already done a clean re-install? Reinstalling Zwift

I understand they are working on fixing this

MB: MSI PRO Z690-P-DDR4, CPU: Intel 12th gen i5 12600K, GPU: MSI RTX 3070, DISK: Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD

Running 4K Ultra profile and over 160 fps with no problems

Did a clean reinstall just before the last Update

These crashes never happened prior this update and I have not updated anything else on the PC for years. Dedicated Zwift Desktop PC

Nice machine. Do you have Video Screenshots disabled?

If you’re running video drivers downloaded from Nvidia, I would test it with the stable driver provided by Microsoft. Although more recent drivers can improve stability and performance of other popular games, they won’t help Zwift at all.

Typically I don’t fix what is not broken, so I am not on the latest Nvidia drivers,
but it might be so, that I have to upgrade them as next logical step.
Thanks, forgot about that.
I am so worried to make the system unstable so I do minimum of changes/upgrades. My worst nightmare is issues to prevent me from Zwifting
Need to check my video screenshot setting. I never use that function anyway.

My subscription has expired. When I try to start a ride I get this screen:

(German version of Zwift on Windows)

You cant ride without an active subscription

I know that, but in that case I usually get a screen with some sort of useful information and not just an arrow.

Hi @Kerstin_K_C2rower, thanks for reporting this issue. It should be resolved now on our end, but please let us know if you continue to see it.

And why do I try to update/upgrade as rarely as possible?
Like said, upgraded Nvidia drivers few days back. Not sure yet if it fixed the crash thing but no crash yesterday at least.

Now my Discord/OBS audio is not working as prior Nvidia update. I know I can fix it, spending some time on the issue but this is why the “don’t fix/change things that are not broke” concept makes more and more sense the older I become

The M4 Macs have had the Ultra profile since February 2025. The M4 iPad is the same class of silicon, with active-ish thermals for a tablet and a gorgeous OLED, yet iPadOS still doesn’t get Ultra. The visual updates we did get (1.69, 1.95) helped, but the M4 iPad Pro reportedly renders at 1536p instead of its native 2064p, and Zwift hasn’t published what the profile actually is.

The latest releases make it feel even more lopsided. In 1.102, M5 Macs got Ultra, while iOS and iPad only got “improved visual quality” for A19 and M5. Since then, the updates I could find (1.103 onwards) are about drafting, New York visuals, Strava descriptions and Mac fixes, and nothing about iPad graphics.

I’m not asking for PC-level settings. I’m asking:

  1. Is Ultra, native resolution or a higher frame rate on M-series iPads actually planned?
  2. If it isn’t, is the limit technical (thermals, memory, Metal) or a prioritization call?
  3. Could we get user-selectable graphics options so we can decide for ourselves?

Zwift’s rep has hinted this is “being worked on,” but a vague hint isn’t a roadmap.

This would be great, but people might select settings too high then complain about poor running. It might be too complicated? But that’s as bad as basic profile. Other apps have basic settings then advanced options where you can customise.

It might avoid the hassle of maintaining lists of profiles for graphics. I’m not arguing for or against this however.

Theory; someone messed with PD again because draft seeking is increasingly worse than I remember it being even weeks ago.

Multiple situations now this weekend where either I or I see someone without steering that just sits as far away from potential draft as possible and then get dropped…

I have a suggestion regarding this, and that’s for ZHQ to communicate with their users. Plenty of people don’t care or won’t notice, and that’s fine, and they also won’t bother looking to the forums for pack dynamics minutae. But some number of people do care, and taking the 5 minutes to post an update on the forum would make things clear for those of us who care, and it would have the bonus effect of building goodwill.

Yeah that’s never going to happen though lol.

They can’t even give us correct patchnotes (which, I think is just becoming the norm now for software companies in general).

Also, here we are… inside of the timeframe of fall, still nothing about the Garmin Index connection, surprise surprise.

The info pane for the climb portal of the week says the lead in is zero km zero m climbing. It is in fact 1.6km and 8m climbing

New neon Simpson edition?
