Game update v 1.102 [November 2025]

Should we allow this update or is it better to postpone the update? It sounds like it is causing some issues.

Most reports we’re seeing are existing issues that were not fully resolved in previous updates and not new in update 1.102. This is also specific to connecting to Wahoo devices using their ā€œDirect Connectionā€ via wifi or ethernet, so if you’re connecting to fitness devices via Bluetooth or ANT+ there will not be any impact.

The direct connect issue has been around for months. I don’t think it’s worse. Everything else is people upset about the implementation of the escalator and the level-up animation.

Is this an issue? I prefer not having the whole ā€œPacer Group Rideā€ thing. You can add that if you want it.

I like the New York escalators.

 75 kg

How about if anyone is going faster than yourself, they are toggled to an invisible realm? That should work for most everyone.

Everyone please update at your earliest convenience.

This explains the behavior people are seeing. Glad to see something official on how it works.

I think the sim mode feels off with them though and unrelated to the power boost. The best way I can explain is that my trainer is being told to simulate [actual speed - 30kph] or similar. It doesn’t feel like I’m doing 33kph when I’m going up, the resistance feels like I’m doing 3kph instead.

However it works out I think it would help if there were pace partners doing these routes. No better way to understand how to ride it than by doing lots of reps in a group.

Smart trainers don’t get told to simulate a speed according to my understanding. They are given the rider’s weight, the gradient, and then the trainer simulates the appropriate resistance based on those on how much power the rider is producing according to the trainer’s measurement/estimation of that power.

It’s Zwift that translates your power/weight/gradient into speed in the game.

I thought speed was part of it, how else do Neo trainers know how much drive to add at high speed?

Regardless, the best way to get the right answer on the internet is to confidently post the wrong answer. :slightly_smiling_face:

No, it’s not.

Isn’t the Escalators what the Coffee Stops were made for.

I h have to say that the first time I went up I struggled, but after that , I change down 2 gears about 5 meters before, hit the slope and stay steady on pace and power and it does make it so much better.

Yes, it’s a bit hard at the top, but a quick dig and change up, and your off with the pack without loosing any meter age.

And, yes I’m 86kg and 63 yes.

Still no love for the graphics profile on the 4K AppleTV… Seems another thing we’ve been asking for (for years) and still no progress

Major issues on Myan 8 with those black boxes flickering.

The base resistance is reduced going up these.

Even setting Trainer Difficulty to 0, and setting ERG ā€œTarget Powerā€ through the Wahoo app, I feel it significantly in that on my KICKR BIKE V2, even at constant power in ERG, it is significantly easier to spin faster up these because of this effect.

Which graphic settings does the iPhone 17 now run, because tbh i dont see any difference since the update on my 17 Pro.

config apple tv, tacx neo 2t click v2, bluetooth conn with android phone companion app bridge, after finish build stage 2. Rode on some 10 more minutes when suddenly all bluetooth dropped (no riders, no gear number no watts, but time did continue, then tried to reconnect by menu → connect all but failed, reset connect through bluetooth, worked but then there is the limit on conn max 2, retried through phone , not working, then return to main screen and zwift crashed, thrown out of game without save. afterwards only the build stage 2 part until finishline was saved to zwift apparently, the rest 10 minutes gone. Had to manually upload zwift fit file to garmin/strava.

No riders means it’s more likely a WiFi/network dropout, which would also cut off the Companion bridge from the game

I’ll check that out next time, though no mentioning of that; appletv runs through cabled lan, and states it if no internet available. Wifi crash let’s see whether I can find that in logs. Thanks
