Game Update - Richmond Refresh

After another uninstall and deleting every folder related to Zwift. A final reinstall fixed the issue. No longer stuck in London.

Can’t believe this!! I only use IOS devices and now i am out of commision!! How long till you get an update that works. No testing on IOS!!! Help please!!!

Hi @Clint_Kronenberger_S

The bug should only impact Richmond, you should be able to ride in Watopia as normal.

I rode Richmond a bit today and I do think it is a clear improvement. Richmond no longer looks like a scene from a zombie apocalypse. Its been a long time since a bothered with Richmond but now I think I will use it. Now that you have some more programmers, might it be time to start working on some of the requests that have been requested for a long time. Things like pacer bots, ability to have more than 30 days of PRs (way overdue) and not having to exit the game after a ride. Maybe give us some ability to customize our screens for the data we want to see

Thanks Gerrie!! Figured it out but had a group meetup on Richmond!!:scream::scream::scream::beers:

One thing I’ve noticed (on ATV) is that the order of the screenshots at the ride save screen has been reversed. With the limit of shots to pick from, sometimes, if I take a lot of shots, I don’t have the option to include the ride summary screen that I always include when uploading a ride.

This update fixed the Volcano KOM rider disappearing bug. It also improved the volcano KOM distance to go counter. It was spot on this morning.

I take that among the various bug fixes there isn’t any of the missing country flags… Disappointing

This is one of the funniest complaints I’ve ever read… Don’t you dare make the place look nicer for other people!

I have Apple TV and went from version 45409 to 45410 between Thursday and yesterday (sunday 2/9). With version 45409 I was having issues just logging on. It took FOREVER. Richmond was not updated on my ATV. Yesterday…I saw Zwift had been updated to 45410 and it once again would not log me on. I restarted my ATV. Finally it let me log on and choose my workout and map. Tho it said ZERO riders were riding on either Watopia or Innsbruck. I chose my route and hit go. Watopia took a long time to load and let me ride. I saw other riders and seemed normal until I went to save. It took forever and then didn’t save properly. I cannot download file from zwift.com either. There is something there but not fully. I opened a ticket. Need to fix whatever was done to ATV to bork it.

I’d rather see the limited zwift resources spent on additional features or courses than smartening up existing courses, we cant ride whenever we want, but each to their own i suppose.

Indeed the volcano disappearing rider bug was fixed one or two updates ago.

Nice. Thanks!

Congrats on expanding your software dev team. I’d love to see a few changes

  1. Redo the elevation profile so it only goes in one direction. I can’t tell what direction the arrow is going when I’m riding and it’s confusion to newcomers

1b) For events, make the course profile accurate. Right now it doesn’t take into account the pre-determined route of the event. I want to know when a climb is really coming up.

  1. Fix the time gap calculation so it isn’t a dumb distance only calculation

  2. Allow display of W/KG instead of watts in the upper left

A post was merged into an existing topic: Allow Saves Without Exit

Rode the new improved Richmond for the first time last night, thought it looked really good.

Richmond has always been my favourite course - 2 laps of the UCI course is my ‘go to’ training ride. The refreshed course looks great and the level of detail is fantastic. I can’t wait to ride it in reverse although I can’t quite get my head around what that will be like as I know every inch in the forward direction. Well done Zwift!

I also happened to notice that on the hills in London there are a lot of 2 dimensional trees hidden in the foliage which is a bit disappointing and takes away from the realism.

If you’ve got another pet-peeve bug that you want squashed, let’s hear it…

I know this might require a NASA supercomputer, and a bunch of Google programmers, but could we not have to exit the game completely in order to go back to the menu?
