Game UI requires keyboard to dismiss message box

I run Zwift on an M1 Mac Mini attached to my living room TV, and use an Apple magic trackpad with it. The only time I go fetch a bluetooth keyboard is when Zwift updates and requires me to login again.

Yesterday I was going to give a rideon to someone and accidentally clicked at the bottom of the nearby riders list. This brings up a messaging box. Unfortunately there’s no way to dismiss this for me without going to fetch the keyboard just to press the ESC key. While not necessary a bug, it’s really IMO pretty poor UI design to not have an X to close it, or just letting me click somewhere else on the screen for it go away. I ended up having that on the screen about the last third of the ride. (A bit under 20 min at my pathetic pace.) When I message I use the companion app on my phone, so really don’t have a need for a keyboard usually.

If the app wanted to get super fancy and advanced like it could completely disable this message box if there’s no keyboard attached to the computer…
