Game load issues on Android

Hello,

I am experiencing some issues when loading the worlds in Zwift. I can get through, log in, connect to sensors (most of the time; Wahoo cadence and speed sensors, using a dumb tacx trainer) which takes some time, some times …and then I can select one of the world’s and routes but they don’t load correctly. Any ideas?

Using a pixel 3, everything updated, I have uninstalled and reinstalled three times for varying results…the error keeps happening.

Screen cap here

Thanks

I’m having the exact same issue. Also using a Pixel 3.

I am having the same issue as well. I have a Pixel 3a.

Another Pixel 3 user here with the same problem. It’s been happening off and on to me for a few weeks. I can sometimes get past it by closing and restarting the app or rebooting the phone but it’s not consistent. I spent 15 minutes trying to get it to load correctly so I could ride stage 2 of TdZ last night but couldn’t get it working in time. It’s really frustrating.

Me too and I have a pixel 3. Has anyone managed to resolve this yet?

Another Pixel3 user here with the same issue. My solution is to press the “menu” button, go into my garage, back out, return and I’m onto the course.

I have been having the same problem on my pixel 3.

screen shot is from this morning when I tried to do a workout.

The only work around I have found is to join an ongoing event. For some reason I can join a race or ride that is currently active or soon to be active and it loads no problem.

Is anyone also using the zwift companion app? I am having zeros issues with that.

I get this quite frequently on a Raspberry Pi 4 running Android 11 (or sometimes the app just closes instead). Going into the garage and back out does indeed fix it. The same Raspberry Pi 4 running Android 10 has no trouble running Zwift whatsoever.

Same thing for me on a Pixel 3. I am strongly considering canceling the next renewal of my subscription because certain worlds simply don’t load at all for me, even if I quit the app and try again. I posted about this on the play store and all that support did is point me to this forum instead of telling that they would relay this to the dev team.
It’s really sad how they don’t seem to care for a bug that defeats the whole purpose of something being a subscriber.

Thanks Jane, that worked for me too…

Pixel 3a user here with the same problem. First time it occurred was after an update to Android 11. Going into garage and returning to ride seems to have worked.

Same issue with Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. Recently updated to One UI 3.1 Android 11.

This is beyond frustrating to see happening to other users, but a little comforting.

Pixel 4 XL running Android 11 RQ1A.210205.004 here. Will try the garage work-around later, but this is something that really needs to be fixed.

Yes same issue with new update on Galaxy Tab S7. An anxious bug that needs updating by zwift ASAP

Hi, everybody!

Same issue as original poster. For me, I can CONFIRM that the solution posted by Chris Gifford-Miears, below, works!

Steps:

  1. Exit the app, completely and restart it
  2. Choose user from main screen
  3. Choose paired devices, then “Let’s Go”
  4. Chose “Ride” (after choosing which ride/workout/location, etc.)
  5. When scene fails to completely load, press “menu”
  6. From the “paused” popup, press the “garage” icon (looks like a house.)
  7. Immediately press “close” from the “my garage” screen
  8. Press “back” from the “paused” screen
  9. Scene should be fully loaded and ready to ride.

Good to know, I will try this the next time it happens.

Plus one for a Google pixel 2. I’m having other power glitches too. Zwift! Super annoying for a subscription service
