I recently did the long FTP test in Zwift. Using a standard trainer (not electronic) and Garmin Vector pedals, my average FTP came out after the test as 206. But, I noticed during the test there were multiple signal drops, so after the test, I analyzed the 20 min. section of the test in Golden Cheetah and used a non-zero average to calculate my actual FTP. The result was 214 (about a 4% difference). I assume the difference was because Zwift was using a zero average and with the signal drops the result would be lower given the 0 watt outliers. My suggestion would be to have the option of calculating the FTP using a non-zero average to reduce the potential of lowered FTP.
